BCOM Receives 2017 NAIOP Award of Excellence

The Commercial Real Estate Development Association has awarded the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine the 2017 NAIOP Award of Excellence in the category of Education: New Construction.

According to the Albuquerque Journal’s Business Outlook, NAIOP received 60 enteries for this year’s awards, from which 49 were selected as finalists, with just 12, including BCOM, receiving Eagle awards. Outgoing NAIOP Chairwoman Cynthia Schultz noted that many of this year’s entries incorporated green elements and that floor-to-ceiling glass walls were also popular design features.

BCOM’s Chief of Staff and Assistant Dean of Multicultural Inclusion Justin McHorse attended the New Mexico chapter’s annual awards banquet in Albuquerque where he accepted the award in front of a crowd of 500 attendees on behalf of the school, as well as architect Dekker/Perich/Sabatini, general contractor GenCon Corp., and engineers Bridgers & Paston, Molzen Corbin.
