Why Should I Give?
The Employee Giving Campaign allows faculty and staff to give directly to the students of the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine.
By participating in this campaign, you are sending a powerful message that you support BCOM and its mission to develop the physician workforce in the Southwest and to foster learning, compassion and respect in our students.
Funds raised through the Employee Giving Campaign are exclusively dedicated to supporting learning and research initiatives. One hundred percent of your donation will support BCOM medical students and researchers via the Southwest Foundation for Osteopathic Education and Research (SWFOER). The mission of SWFOER is to provide financial support to BCOM students and for medical and academic related research. Learn more at swfoer.org.
What is the Power Hour?
The Power Hour equates to donating one hour of your time each month to BCOM students. Instead of giving a set dollar amount, we ask that you donate the equivalent of 60 minutes of your paycheck each month. The amount will be calculated to be deducted from each bi-weekly paycheck, but will only equate to one full hour each month. If enough BCOM colleagues contribute just one hour, together we can jointly fund scholarships, learning initiatives and other opportunities, such as travel for students to present posters and research at conferences.

Your donations will continue each month until you decide to cancel. You can contact Human Resources at any time to cancel your commitment. You can also change your contribution at any time by submitting a new payroll deduction form.
