SW Foundation for Osteopathic Education & Research Welcomes Director of Development and Planned Giving

Victoria Pineda, MA, CFRE, has joined the SW Foundation for Osteopathic Education & Research (SWFOER) as its Vice President of Institutional Advancement. The foundation is a not-for-profit, 501(C)(3) organization with a primary charter to raise funds for the benefit of student scholarships and research initiatives at the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Victoria is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), with more than 17 years of professional development experience; ten of those years dedicated to fundraising for higher education. She has been responsible for more than $75.1 million dollars of individual donations at various universities and nonprofits. Victoria has in-depth experience in strategic planning, stewardship and understands the giving climate within the Texas-New Mexico region and as well as throughout the Western United States.

Victoria holds an undergraduate degree and Master’s degree, both from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. Victoria is pleased to be joining SWFOER and explained, “I believe that my love of people, philanthropy, community and a high quality experience with a brand are commonalities for us and I’m excited to join SWFOER & BCOM as the opportunities for growth are endless.”

The SW Foundation for Osteopathic Education and Research (SWFOER) was founded with a mission of providing financial support for BCOM students and for medical and academic related research. The foundation is currently fundraising to create scholarships for bright, well-qualified students struggling to find resources to pay for their medical education.
