The BCOM student chapter of the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians (ACOP) partnered with Ben Archer Health Center’s Welcome Baby Program to host a community baby shower. The Welcome Baby program organizes these special educational events around the community every few months to provide pregnant women and new parents information on child development, prenatal care, and community resources.
BCOM ACOP president Roxanne Wagoneer reached out to the program and volunteered to host the December shower on campus. The ACOP students collected diapers, wipes, and other baby necessities for several weeks leading up to the shower which included games, activities, prizes, and food for the expectant mothers.
