Mr. Burrell leads a private family office that invests and manages assets in the health care, education, real estate, natural resources, and water utility industries.

Daniel Burrell is the Founder and CEO of Burrell Western Resources, LLC, a diversified company that specializing in the production of industrial minerals. BWR, LLC is a vertically integrated entity that mines, processes, and distributes a variety of industry leading products, including garnet, limestone, and silica sands.

Mr. Burrell is immediate past Founder and CEO of Rosemont Realty, LLC, New Mexico’s largest commercial real estate company that currently owns and operates 20 million rentable square feet of office property valued in excess of $2.0 billion. Rosemont has approximately 200 employees in 8 regional offices. The company is headquartered in Santa Fe.

Before founding Rosemont Realty in 2008, Mr. Burrell was a co-founder and Managing Partner at Rosemont Capital, LP, where he led the development of the firm’s fixed income and real estate operations while serving on the investment committees of its co-investment and private equity funds. Prior to this role, Mr. Burrell was a Vice President at Brentwood Capital Partners, a Los Angeles based real estate opportunity fund that specialized in the acquisition of distressed commercial office and multifamily properties.

Mr. Burrell has also held positions in the public sector. Mr. Burrell was a staffer in the Domestic Policy Council of the White House during the Clinton Administration. He was the State Director for California and Executive Director of Finance, Western United States for Secretary of State John F. Kerry’s presidential campaign in 2004. Mr. Burrell worked in the office of Senator John F. Kerry prior to his presidential campaign.

Mr. Burrell received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown University, a General Course Degree from the London School of Economics, and a J.D. from Yale Law School. Daniel and his wife Katherine are the co-founders of the New Mexico Leadership Institute (NMLI), a leading non-profit scholarship program that supports entrepreneurship and innovation. Daniel recently served as Vice Chairman of New Mexico’s Mortgage Finance Authority and Chairman of its Contract Services Committee. He is a Board Members of Rosemont Realty, the New Mexico School for the Arts, and Las Campanas Country Club.
